Full cover car rental insurance: what you need to know
What is included in every rental
Every Tunisia Rent Car rental includes the compulsory insurance: unlimited third-party liability and damage to third parties, for the drivers named on the contract and passengers. Unlimited mileage and the airport surcharge are also included. With basic insurance alone, damage to the car is covered by the excess, guaranteed by the deposit.
Why choose full cover insurance?
On Tunisian roads, gravel, potholes and tight parking often damage windscreens, rims and underbodies. Full cover protects you against damage to the car with zero excess, as well as theft, fire and glass breakage, for €20 per day: the most relaxed option for a road trip, a tour of the South or a family holiday.
Full cover or Protection+ Pack?
The Protection+ Pack, at €8 per day, already covers the windscreen, windows, lights, tyres and underbody with a reduced excess. Full cover goes further: zero excess on damage to the car, theft, fire, towing and a replacement car subject to availability. It is the right choice for a premium car, such as a Mercedes E-Class, which has a higher deposit.
What remains payable by you
Even with full cover, some costs remain payable by you: rims, hubcaps and mirrors, keys, documents and accessories, interior damage, wrong fuel, damage on tracks or off-road, fines and tickets. Driving by an undeclared person, under the influence of alcohol or outside Tunisia without written permission is not covered. In the event of an accident, an accident report or police report within 24 hours is compulsory. See our rental conditions for details.
Pick up your car at the airport
Full cover insurance is available at all our agencies, at Tunis-Carthage, Enfidha, Monastir and Djerba airports, and with delivery to your hotel in Hammamet, Sousse and Djerba.
